His kickass defense at the mediation session for his client Earl’s discrimination lawsuit made me want to cheer. Samuel’s heart it a lot bigger than he lets on as he fiercely defends his clients and friends. There’s no skimming any part of this story because there’s so much happening and I for sure didn’t want to miss a snarky moment. It’s just as surprising to the reader as it is to Samuel at how much of his grump he’s lost since bk 1, but fortunately he still holds on to enough surly wit and a ton of smartass to satisfy this reader.
He adores wife Maddie, she’s the perfect balance for him, and their precocious kids provide some laugh out loud moments.Īttorney Samuel has come a long way since bk 1. Samuel is settling in with his new family. And I do love a story from the Hero’s perspective for a change.
Light romantic-suspense with a load of snarky humor. Adore this series! Bk 2 continues Samuel Collin’s story and it was just as much fun as the first bk.
