Nora, our protagonist, (our oh-so-annoying protagonist) is a very. I can't believe Becca Fitzpatrick managed to string everything together because this plot just connects so well with itself I can't. But in the end, I didn't mind that all the characters were that annoying because of the completely beguiling storyline. But still, I guess it's author talent that makes a character that needs to be annoying, well. (I mean, who doesn't?) I'm starting to realize that all the characters aren't as annoying as Nora or Marcie. I absolutely despise annoying characters. This was a wonderfully written book!Īt first, I didn't like the book much because all the characters annoyed me. It compelled me to want to read more of the series, so I continue on to Crescendo. I have to give Becca Fitzpatrick credit on this one. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something. Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. Book Summary: Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect.
